Colours of the wind

First Grade Activity.
The class of Native Americans has listened to and sang this song, Colours of the Wind, performed by Vanessa Williams, that we can find in the film "Pocahontas".

Can you say which of these words can be heard in the song?: Leave your answer in the comments.

HOW'S THE WEATHER?

This song and video deals with WEATHER: How's the weather? Is it sunny, rainy, windy, cloudy, snowy...?

You can sing it while acting differently according to each word:

Sunny: Open your hands and fingers both sides of your face or body, imitating the sun.
Rainy: Fingers pretends to be drops of water falling from the clouds.
Cloudy: Cover you face with both hands.
Snowy: Fingers pretends to be quiet dropts of snow falling from the clouds, slowly.
Windy: Your arms are like a broom that goes from right to left or the other way, like the wind.

Have fun!

FOUR SEASONS

This is a song we sing in class to learn about seasons in a year.
I strongly recomend it, and also the video, because it's very fun!

THERE ARE FOUR SEASONS
THAT HAPPEN IN A YEAR: SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN, WINTER...

Songs about emotions

It's been a while since we last meet. I've been working hard in my school projects, as you will see on this blog too.

Here you'll find two songs we've been working with with first graders, dealing with EMOTIONS.

One day I will raise a monument to Matt, this boy on Dream English.com! This webpage has been a major source for me to find songs in my classes.  Thank you very much, Matt!

HOW ARE YOU

IF YOU ARE HAPPY

See you!
