Hi again!
This year I'm not English teacher, but tutor of second level of Primary. However, I'll be dropping here from time to time to suggest some activities you could use in your own classes (Or maybe I use in the future).
I've found a couple of videos you'll enjoy and maybe addapt to your classes. Have a look:

HOLIDAYS

I wish all my pupils have nice holidays! I'm recharching batteries to set off new proposals next year.
If you want to practise English during the summer, here you have some tips:

- Take advantage of your english or foreign friends: use THE ENGLISH YOU KNOW, don't be shy!

- Have a look to some of the wonderful recommended LINKS in this blog.

- Try to remember songs, stories you have learnt this year and teach them to your friends, parents, cousins... Invent similar songs or stories, or even play them out!

- Try to read a story in English. You can visit the book shop or sail on the web. Read stories you LIKE (Stilton, comics, Batpat, Greg's Diaries...)

- Watch TV or films in V.O. (cartoons are easy to follow). Watch the subtitled in English.

ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS...
SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER! :)

Great stories on line

Thanks to Noa, one of my 2nd grade pupils, I've found this great webpage:

Here you'll find wonderful stories in powerpoint, told by famous Hollywood actors. There are interesting related activities too to prepare the reading, whilereading and postreading.

Note: You'll have a permanent link to this page on the right side of the blog.

Days of the week

Do you know the tune of the Monster's Family? This song on the Days of the Week is based on it! Lot of fun!
BEFORE THE SONG: Hand out different cards with the days of the week in different colours. Tell the children to lift their cards when you say the name.
AFTER THE SONG: The children can form different lines of "weeks", ordering the days they are holding on their hands. This activity could be noisy, so set the space, materials and details according to your group very carefully and before hand.

THE HOUSE

Here you'll find some online activities on the subject The house. Enjoy it!
